Isn’t an adviser just for the rich?

No. We offer affordable professional advice for all income brackets. Although all clients are different, we can often identify long-term savings opportunities that end up equaling more than what we charge.

Is this for people in financial distress?

No.  Generally our clients are in sound financial shape yet do not feel as they are in full control of their money. In addition, our clients incomes range from hourly employees to executives making six-figure incomes.

Are you a debt consolidation company?

No.  Although part of our focus is on debt management, which may include combining some debt into lower rate products, we are not one of those debt consolidation companies you hear advertised on the radio.

How are you different than all the financial advisers out there?

Most financial advisers will review your current balance sheet at the beginning of the relationship but are primarily focused on managing your investments. These financial advisors generally do great work, but they’re just not focused on your everyday cash and savings needs like we are.

How do I know if I should work with Ohashi Advisors?

Good indicators that we can help you include: Money is something you tend to stress about; You feel disorganized about your finances; You don’t have the savings or emergency funds you would like;  You feel like you’ll never eliminate your debt; You just want a professional advice, etc.

How long does it take to complete the personalized financial plan?

We typically assume that for most clients the process will take between 4-6 weeks to complete. This includes the initial consultation, intake meeting, client information and data gathering, and final presentation of the plan.

Are meetings held in person?

No. Unless there’s are extenuating circumstances, all meetings are conducted virtually. Virtual meetings allow us to serve clients nationwide and keep our fees low. If you’re not comfortable being on camera, it’s OK, feel free to turn the web camera off.

Where did the name Ohashi come from?

The name Ohashi Advisors is derived from the Eshima Ohashi bridge in Japan. When photographed from a distance the bridge appears harrowingly steep, but in actuality the grade is not unreasonable and once on it, travelers enjoy beautiful views from the top.

Ohashi Advisors knows many people see the road to financial freedom as a steep and scary climb. Although gaining control of your finances takes time and dedication, once clients begin the process they learn it’s not hard, and in the end, the result is beautiful.

How is Ohashi Advisors paid?

Ohashi Advisors is a fee-only firm and we do not get paid commissions for selling financial products or insurance policies. As such, we offer objective, unbiased financial advice tailored for you.

Why is there an upfront fee and ongoing monthly fee?

The upfront fee covers the cost of the initial intake, financial analysis, and development and delivery of your comprehensive personalized financial plan. The monthly fee maintains our advisory relationship and includes access to our financial software allowing us both to keep tabs on your progress, and ongoing support when questions arise related to you finances (because things always change).

Can I spread the upfront fee over multiple payments?

We believe that paying the upfront fee is fiscally wise and also helps clients prioritize their part of the process (info and data gathering). That said, we believe strongly in our services and want to be flexible when required. If this is the case, we can discuss options during the initial consultation.

Can we hire Ohashi Advisors for someone else?

Yes. We can work with anyone regardless of who pays. We can help your new college graduate or your in-laws needing financial advisement. Whoever we work with just needs to be fully engaged in the process and will be the party with whom we have a contractual relationship.
